Stars walk the red carpet at TERMINATOR 3 premiere

Schwarzenegger, Mostow and others on-hand for T3's gala screening

By Sue Schneider     July 07, 2003

On Monday, June 30 at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood the world premiere for TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES was held. Shutting down the street between the Village and the Bruin Theaters, the red carpet was laid out in a circle to house the many press that covered this third installment in the TERMINATOR series. Fans were on bleachers screaming as the celebrities walked down the carpet, with others lining the streets in hopes of getting an autograph from the movie's stars.

The carpet was decorated with some of the robots created by Stan Winston for the movie, with two of the machines themselves strolling down the red carpet operated by remote control. The 100-ton crane that was used in one of the movie's major action sequences was stationed at the end of the carpet, holding up a car that was also used in the film.

Seen walking the carpet were the film's stars and makers: Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator) and wife Maria Shriver, Kristanna Loken (T-X), Nick Stahl (John Connor) David Andrews (Robert Brewster), Mark Famiglietti (Scott Petersen), director Jonathan Mostow, make-up and animatronic effects genius Stan Winston, producers Andrew G. Vajna, Mario F. Kassar, Hal Lieberman and screenwriters John Brancato and Michael Ferris. Joining the T3 players were guests Gary Sinese, The Blue Man Group, Sara Gilbert, Kathleen Kinmont, Erika Christiansen, Henry Simmons, Rick Yune, Harry Hamlin and wife Lisa Rinna, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, former Mayor Richard Riordan, Michael Rosenbaum, Tom Arnold, Antonio Sabato Jr., Marie Van Peebles, Tia Carrere, and many more.
