A new trailer for the latest Stephen King adaptation, THE MIST, has hit the web courtesy of Yahoo. This next King story has been developed and directed for the big screen by King veteran, Frank Darabont(The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redeption), for MGM studios. The film stars Thomas Jane, Marcia Gay Harden, Toby Jones, William Sadler, Laurie Holden & Andre Braugher.

Plot Summary: After a severe thunderstorm, David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the 'The Arrowhead Project' conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group's overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against a more sinister enemy...

Stephen King + Frank Darabont=Good Stephen King movie, period. I won't even question if this is going to be good-I have faith. I mean I know this is Darabont first turn at a really supernatural, kind of horror Stephen King tale but he's made two excellent adaptations before and this one looks no different. Anyone who wants to argue can start a fist fight....with Uwe Boll. I'm allergic to punches.

Sweet! I can't wait, The Mist is my all-time favorite Stephen King story. Frank Darabont is also a excellent director, and is responsible for 2 of my favorite movies which also happen to be King adaptations.

Looks awesome! You know, someone always has to bring up the bible and god in situations like that.

Well swan, I like to think of it this way: The uptight religious folks (no matter what religion, mind ya) always make for a satisfying kill. There's something gratifying about shouting "Where's your Mesiah now?" once they bite it. And, typically, they bite it much harder than most people in the flicks. Like in Silent Hill, that one bitch got her skin twisted off!

Saw the trailer. Basically it's the Fog meets Jurassic Park. How original. You do know that from the look of things they are probably gonna be in that Supermarket throughout the whole movie, I can feel it. I'll pass on this one.

One of the best stories King ever wrote.
And this looks like a kick ass adaption

Been a while since I read the short story. But I'm pretty sure there wasn't any crazed religious fanatic in it. It's getting too cliche and just gives people another excuse to bash on Christians. Get over it.

As I recall, in the boo, there was a scene in a diner too...along with the supermarket.
