By: Randall Larson
Date: Tuesday, March 28, 2006

Steve Jablonsky has been commissioned to compose the original score for the action film D-WAR, directed by Korean filmmaker Hyung-rae Shim (2001 Yonggary). Produced by LA-based YGA Entertainment and starring Jason Behr, Amanda Brooks, Robert Forster and Elizabeth Peña, the film is based on a Korean legend about unknown dragon creatures who return to Earth to destroy the planet. Steve Jablonsky, who is also scoring THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING, previously worked on another Asian-American production, the animated adventure STEAMBOY. He also recently scored THE ISLAND and the AMITYVILLE HORROR remake.
