Is it just me or does anyone else not understand why this chick is working.  She might be a lovely human being for all I know but her performances are wooden, she is pretty for an average girl but not "tentpole movie hot" and her perpetually vacant stare annoys the hell out of me.  So AKIRA for her now?  What?Tthey couldn't get Keannu so they needed another "actor" who, in a sane world, would also be working at the mall.  So far casting Tron Jr. and now Twilight princess has me very nervous about this movie.

Reek...not too sure, she's a really good actress but stuck in stupid movies (except the one where it's a biography of Joan Jett).

Let's face it...Twilight isn't the best type of movies to show talent...it's for girls who want teenager love stories...not much acting in there. She looks great in this upcoming movie of Snow White and I'm not worried for her.

BUT...she should NOT be attached to anything called Akira and if she's smart, she will skip this oen (and I have a feeling she will...hopefully).

Casting Kristen Stewart as Kei is like trying to cast WWE's Sheamus as Ghandi.  STOP IT!!!  Stewart is about as interesting as watching paint dry.....she is THAT BORING and that uncharasmatic.

Raith: I have seen some VERY charasmatic paint dry. Stewart is much less interesting.

They are going to screw the pooch on this one.

Stewart reminds me of a young Neve Campbell, where it looks like she's hyperventilating in any scene where she has dialog. She was a little better in the Joan Jett biopic, but not that much better. And regarding the Snow White trailer, she looks great costume-wise in the trailer, but she doesn't say a single word in the trailer! Hahaha. Studios know they need to keep her mouth shut. Look at the new twilight trailer, she says one word in the whole thing. The only reason she's getting gigs is because of the success of Twilight. Twilight blew up her image, she'll be getting roles easily for the next couple of years.

 I'm still trying to figure out why we need a live-action Akira to begin with.

I'll watch Stewart as long as she's in a film I want to see. She's attractive enough and not a bad actress. I think folk are letting their Twilight hate cloud their judgement

 Oh please keep Stewart away from our genre films.....

I have to agree with you Wiseguy, I think they are letting their Twilight hate cloud. She has been in other movies other than Twilight and some of them are supposed to be great movies, I have'nt seen some of them yet. Regardless I think she is a decent actress and would love to see her in more movies.
