Still 2005 for original STAR WARS trilogy DVDs

While talking up the second installment of his STAR WARS prequel trilogy, George Lucas has again set the date for the original trilogy to hit DVD at 2005.

"Probably, when I finish this (trilogy)," Lucas told the Toronto Sun.

"We don't have time to do it, to be honest with you," Lucas said. "And the other ones don't have any of the materials."

Or, very few. While there were a few extras on the mid-1990s Laser Disc DEFINATIVE EDITION, Lucas has said for the past few years there are few existing behind the scenes materials for the original Trilogy.

That's not to say documentaries couldn't be produced... hint, hint.
