Scoundrel,
Yep! Been on the 'Nona bandwagon a lot longer, but, for my money, she's the best Mina Harker EVAH! Fucking nailed it! (Exactly what I wouldn't mind being able to say about her hot ass, too!)

Rgtchtiger,
You seem to misunderstand. I KNOW Amanda Grayson is Human and that it's a time-traveling Spock from "our" incarnation and that, therefore, a non-Human Amanda would be incorrect. My point EXACTLY. Fine, if he "reboots," (well, not really), but Spock from "our" incarnation invalidates that idea - he IS half-Vulcan, half-Human.
My point is that J J seemed to have no problem rebooting Supes and, while it may fly in the face of canon, I wouldn't put it past him to simply ignore the facts.
That's the explanation and concern that some of us have for this "Vulcan" mother. He had no prob doing it with Supes. What's to stop him here? Canon schmanon, he might think.
He'd best think again, as far as I'm concerned.

Let me see if I can explain the nervousness, kids.
For those of you who are wondering about the knee-jerk reactions to a possible typo, I only want to remind you of Abrams "this close to production" script of Superman wherein Krypton survived (and invaded Earth) and Lex Luthor himself was a Kryptonian working for the CIA or some shit.
Seriously, Abrams can do some effed up stuff and NOBODY that I know would put a rewritten history for Spock past him.
Does THAT explain the quick leap to a conclusion and corresponding outrage?
