Stoner Zombies in Roth's TRAILER TRASH?

If you watched the critically praised and box office bombed GRINDHOUSE, you caught the many faux trailers featuring crazy horror scenarios at Thanksgiving, evil Werewolf women of the SS, good advice like " 'Don't' open that door" & what Danny Trejo can do if you give him a machete. Well, now that Eli Roth has revealed a full length feature film called TRAILER TRASH (August 22, 2008) focusing on these types of b-movie trailers, the director is leaking a few more interesting details about story concepts for these upcoming 5-15 minute trailer segments. One such concept revealed to MTV includes ...stoner zombies. Also, other directors, including Edgar Wright, may be hopping on board the project much like the Grindhouse experience.

“… also, don’t give the zombies pot, because then they’ll get stoned and that’ll make them even hungrier … I’m going to be doing that idea,” he confessed.

Also revealed is possible genre director cameos:

“[It comes out on] August 22nd [2008], and I would start shooting probably in February,” he said of “Trash.” “Originally I was going to do it with a bunch of other directors, but now as I’m writing it, I don’t want to share it. I want to shoot them all myself. I’m going to be directing the feature - in certain cases, we might make a rare exception, like Edgar Wright … But really only in one or two cases; otherwise I’m going to be directing the film.”
