Tim Burton will produce THE CORPSE BRIDE, a new stop-motion animated movie in development at Warner Bros. Portland, Oregon-based Vinton Studios will also produce the project, set to begin filming this November in London, England.
Based on a 19th century Eastern European folk tale, BRIDE is about a man who winds up being engaged to a corpse. The movie was written by Caroline Thompson, a longtime collaborator of Burton's (she also wrote the screenplay for THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.) The picture is being directed by first-timer Mike Johnson.
