The Revolution Continues

Fans of Revolution can now breathe easy as NBC has picked up the series for a full season. Entertainment Weekly broke the story yesterday that Revolution, The New Normal and Go On will continue.

NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke said, “We’re impressed with the imagination and creative direction of the entire team on Revolution, not to mention the immediately strong response we got from the audience”.

She then said “Ordering the full season of this show is a pleasure. Thanks to J.J. Abrams, Erik Kripke, Jon Favreau, and everyone at Bad Robot and Warner Bros. Television for their dedication to making a truly unique series. And I personally love to escape into a world where there is no power, the phone doesn’t ring, and the pace of life slows down — if only for one hour a week!”

Well Maniacs, there you have it, the Revolution will continue. Will this entice those of you that haven't seen it to give it a chance?

Thanks to Chopsaki for the submission.

The girl is a bit annoying, and I can't help but draw similarities to Kevin Costner's the Postman, including the reluctant Uncle who was once a part of the militia.  I do find it watchable though...

This has turned out better than I expected; some moments that have tested my reasonable suspension of disbelief, not bad though. I like how they got right into the story and are filling in the blanks through flashbacks.

I don't know, this show kind of bores me to tears...and I really can't get behind no electricity whatsoever.  No hydraulic power?  Not even able to harness kinetic energy?  Or is everybody just too lazy to try?  Sam and Dean miss you, Kripke...get back to where you showed greatness.

It's okay.  I am watching it, but I want more than it is so far.

While I find it enjoyable. I think it could get old quite fast. Shows like this should have a beginning, middle and end planned out. While this first season goes ok lots of this stuff loose steam or traction. Its time for TV to want 80 quality episodes instead of 300 mediocre episodes.

They've actually addressed the inability to generate electricity, and such, sort of.   The former tech billionaire has pointed out that the laws of nature just aren't working properly, and they should have been able to fix it years ago, but somehow can't.

Must have missed that bit...I'll keep plugging away with the efforts to suspend belief...but MAN it's hard.

NBC may have ordered up a seasons worth of this craptastic stupidity, but it'll be probably be dropped by mid-season.

My wife and kids are watching but I'm not a fan so far.
