Stranded on Gens' CANNIBAL Island?

By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor

Director Xavier Gens'  R-rated HITMAN may be hitting theaters in two weeks but that's not stopping him from beginning on a new horror film somewhere in the tropics at this very moment. An inside source has scooped Clint Morris over at Moviehole that Gens' has begun production on VANIKORO, a new cannibalistic horror treatment that he's been working on. The source goes on to describe the story concept...

“It’s a film about a group of shipwrecked guys on an island full of cannibals. It's totally over-the-top, but likely to be a lot of fun”

Wouldn't an island full of cannibals pretty quickly turn in to a deserted island? Think about it...

HA!! Very funny, fft. This plot sounds disturbingly like House of the Dead, only with cannibals instead of zombies. This is one of those movies where the characters know they're in a horror movie and have to act and talk like really stupid people. I can already picture one of the shipwrecked guys saying something ridiculous like, "I'm sure there's a logical explanation for this."

Sounds like the first of a double feature from "GRINDHOUSE 2"

I'm always up for a good comedy. Just make it really gory.

Sounds good...But there are a lot of movies that sound like a good idea at the time, but then fall flat...I will wait for the trailer, I guess.
