Gee, I wish I went to the movies this weekend, I don't know why I did not go...

I saw the trail for this film and just cringed... why... why... why...

trail=trailer... god I'm tired today.

I didn't go to the movies this weekend, because there wasn't one film I wanted to see (for a first or second time), and that really depressed me. I love going to the movies! And now I read that The Hidden is being remade? Give me a break. Although there are always a few movies that keep it treading water, it seems to me that the film industry as a whole is slowly drowning in a sea of mediocrity. Even many of the seasonal "tent pole" movies are just ok, and not the huge events they used to be.

The studios traditionally release stinkers on Super Bowl weekend since they know the Sunday box office will be virtually non-existant. And chick flicks, sometimes they release those on Super Bowl weekend, but that's about it.

I saw Hoodwinked this weekend and was very disappointed. I realize it was a low-budget movie, but still.... how many times are we going to have to endure another Matrix fight scene parody? Easily the lamest movie I've seen in the theater in over a year. The mountain goat was darn funny, but beyond that...

Geez. When is this "Brokeback Mountain" hype gonna pass? Those "repeat viewers" have got to run out of money some time. You know there aren't any good movies out when this POS stays in the top 10.

"Brokeback Mountain" will keep chugging along through the Oscars and probably for a couple weekends afterwards, as most Oscar candidates do at this time of year.

Why are you assuming they are repeat viewers? It's not exactly the type of "feel good" movie that encourages repeats viewings.

#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 That is so awesome! All are general descriptions of how I feel nowadays!! Exactly!!! 1. No real incentive to go. 2. Balking. 3. Weary. 4. Malcontentment. 6. Not interested.

I drove TWO HOURS to see this movie. Me and my fiance were having an early Valentine's Day evening since we both have to work on the 14th. We get to the theater and the line is honestly out to the END of the parking lot. It would have been easily a 2 hour wait to the ticket office.

We then decided to go back home, get ice cream, and watch eXistanZ, which was an old flick that freaked the hell out of me.

You know, I smiled an ironic smile when I saw #7 "Something New." IF ONLY!
