Summit Grabs Comic LEAVES

Summit Entertainment has grabbed the film rights to Virgin Comics graphic novel The Leaves, reports Variety. The comic created by Kevin J. Walsh will be produced by Virgin's Gotham Chopra and Sharad Devarajan. Creator Walsh will pen the screenplay.

Plot Concept: An action thriller that revolves around a New York doctor who travels to Mumbai, India, for a friend's funeral and meets an Indian fortune-teller who identifies him as the man who will bring about the apocalypse.

Nice. Nothing ruins a funeral like finding out you're going to bring about the end of the world. I'm guessing the fortune teller does else that convinces him that they are for real and not just some nutjob foretelling doom?
