I like the Chevy/Transformers best.
CaptAmerica is at the first half 2 minute warning break, at least now I can piss without worrying

The Super Bowl is the big time where some of the best and brightest hopes for the movie season get shown for the coming summer and this year is no exception with a couple of big name trailers, especially that of the first Captain America: The First Avenger trailer. But that's not all there is as there's a slew of intriguing, hilarious and very genre related commercials mixed into it. And, well, we like to talk about the game as well. So consider this your central repository for all things Super Bowl XLV here as we'll be continually adding new genre related commercials. We'll be having separate articles for the big ones since Cap and Thor will definitely deserve them, but shoot the breeze, share your favorites of this year and years past and let's talk some football too.
Super 8

I like the Chevy/Transformers best.

Nelson has been killing the opposition during the playoffs. GO PACK
The Fast Five trailer looked good, again DJ looks like the effing man. The ol' lady is laughing at me cause I think DJ looks badass
Another TD for GB baby
The Coke ad was awesome, love the LOTR treatment
Now the ol' lady says that Hemsworth is the effing man and not the Rock. THOR looked terrific
Guess I'm the only one watching the game with my laptop
Super 8 ad disappointing, wanted to see something. Still looking forward to it
Captain America has complketely erased any doubts I may have had (none really) that it will kick ass. That looked great. RS wearing a human mask, effing awesome
Volkswagen: By far the best commercial of the game (so far). The little boy's reaction was priceless!
Captain America: At last! Looked good but of course it was only quick glimpses of everything. Which is how it was supposed to be. I'm sure every frame will be frozen and analyzed by fans.
Genre trailers: As I mentioned above for Cap, they are all only 30 sec commercials. They are meant to be teases. They are meant to make you say, "Whoa! What was that!?! Gotta see more!" I liked the Transformers and Super 8 for that. I remember that's what The Matrix commercial during the Superbowl did. Super 8 definitely reminds me of the 80's Spielberg style (Suburban kids suddenly confronting the fantastic-E.T., Poltergeist, etc.)
Green Bay is letting it slip away, flawless first half, nervousness mistakes and unable to catch balls in the second. Maybe that Steelers' experience does count for something.
At this point most of the big trailers have played except for Justin Bieber's epic biopic :)
I knew the Pack was gonna take it Ben Roethlesberger's a lucky bum and Aaron Rodgers has been consistently Accurate n Poised QB all year...
Super 8 - A more revealing yet even more mysterious trailer than the first, so far imo opinion the impression i'm getting is a more action packed E.T. but what do i know???
First Avenger: Captain America - The trailer made it clear 2 me that Johnston tried his absolute best to stick 2 the source material while still putting his own stylistic twist on things visually...NICE
HOLY SHIT....Transformers looks like it is going to be amazing......Super 8 looks good... Cap looks like it will be good....I wasn't sure about Cowboys & Aliens, but now i think it looks good...Still not sold on Pirates 4....and I gotta say, I have new respect for Justin Beiber,,,don't like his music, but i think he gets bashed unfairly...over-all the Super Bowl commericals were weak this year, but at least the movies look bad-ass
Am I in the minority in thinking that Cowboys and Aliens looked like crap?
I nearly cried in laughter at the Vader-Volkswagon commercial this morning. I swear, if I was the dad, that would be what I was doing if my son sported the all-black and waved me away...One of the best SB commercials ever, Volkswagon.
