This was a great mash of two things I love.  Well done!

Rob and Mania: two thumbs way up for this article!!! Timely, well written, and just plain fun. Love those graphics, too. A third thumb up for them!

Like to see Thanos and Darkseid on opposite sides for defense though.

And of course, Uatu the Watcher as the ref. Nuthin' gets by him!

As much as I love Wolverine, Juggernaut needs to be the running back.  Who needs fancy cutbacks when you you can just run it straight up the middle over and over?  Maybe Juggy has a fumbling problem, that would explain it.

This was fantastic!!!  Awesome article.

The choice of Cannonball as a fullback was great.

There is no way DC is getting through Marvel's O-line.  Make Mine Marvel!!!!

priceless. I do agree that this game would just divulge into a city destroying ball within seconds of the kickoff

arguably the best article I've ever read on this site, certainly the most entertaining

I don't know, I think I'd have to put the Juggernaut in the backfield.  He is unstoppable once he gets going, after all.  Ultimate power back.  As long as the line gives him a second to get going, it's a touchdown every time you hand off.

Ah, should have read all the comments, grimmer beat me to it.  lol

I cant remember what I was going to say... The American Apparel Dance ad erased any witty comic banter I had instantly.

I think the only changes I'd make would be making the Running backs the Flash & Quicksilver. I'd add Juggernaught as a Fullback.   I'd actually make Green Lantern a wide receiver or tight end because he'd be hard pressed to ever not catch the ball with his ring.

This is actually an idea for a video game I had way back in the Super Nintendo / Genesis days.  I always thought it would be cool to make a Superhero sports football game...
