Battles rage in space and on the Earth as a terrifying new enemy makes their debut.

What They Say
With many of its central personnel lost in the war, the Earth Federation Government is forced to rebuild, and Brian Midcrid, president of the Unified Colonies, takes the position of its president. During an emergency session of the Federation Diet, he publicly acknowledges the existence of extraterrestials, and reveals the events of the L5 campaign to the masses in what will later come to be called the "Tokyo Declaration". He goes on to state that these aliens pose a serious threat to humanity.

President Midcrid continues, asking for the colonies to unite with earth, and to expand their military forces in a plan called the "Aegis Plan". Under the plan, new weapons are developed, and more mechs are mass produced as the entire planet's defense network is strengthened. But threats still lurk in the shadows. The remnants of Bian Zoldark's "Divine Crusaders". Those within the Federation and its army who plot to turn it into a military dictatorship. And none have yet realized...that the true threats are coming from a world "so close, yet so very far away", and a world of silence...

The planet is being invaded by foes from a parallel world, and from the past.

Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
Axel talks to the mysterious woman behind the "Whiskey" group, as he gets accustomed to life on the other side of whatever dimensional gate he used. He cannot let go of his hatred for Beowulf, even though he is told that Kyousuke Nanbu is not exactly the same as Beowulf. Still, Axel vows to defeat him, even though it looks like events are about to repeat themselves in this world.

As if I was not confused enough by the cast of thousands, now the action moves to space, where a jump pattern was detected near the L5 star, the White Star base. There, Federation analysis teams are working on some ruins, finally opening a long sealed door. They think they are going to find the lost technology of the Aerogaters, but at that moment, someone else attacks, destroying the flagship of the fleet guarding the L5 star. The EFA base at Langley is also monitoring attacks, as high altitude weapons are being unleashed upon the Earth. Then, the base is attacked itself, forcing the commander to abandon his post and take refuge on the Shirogane, which was docked there for repairs. The enemy are extremely powerful, overcoming the Federation's weapons with ease. Their identity is still not known.

At the Aviano Base in Europe, the Major Kai and Maj. Gilliam are discussing the other main situations, where the DC remnants have managed to capture a large group of Federation dignitaries at Riksent, though they did not succeed in taking Princess Shine. They would like to retake Riksent, but communications outages have severed links with Federation bases in North America and White Star. It is worrisome to them, especially to Gilliam, who seems to know something the others do not.

On the Moon, the Mao Industries base is being surrounded, with the unknown enemy demanding that they hand over the Huckebein unit. Fortunately for the good guys, the staff there had already been shipping all of their research units to the Hiryuu. As the last units try to make their escape, the unknown enemy tries to stop them. They are powerful, but then Lune shows up in the Valsione and takes out many of these strange alien units. Unfortunately, the enemy leader, in a powerful personal trooper, then moves to attack Lune. He brushes aside Lune and then hits the shuttle, bringing it down. Things look bad, but then Ryoto decides to activate the Exbein, which manages to take out a group of the enemies fairly easily. But Lune gets hit by the enemy leader's main beam weapon which knocks her out. It looks bad for Lune. Then Ryoto combines her unit with Rio's and the two unleash the Full Impact Cannon on the enemy, who only manages to survive because of a shield he has, though the shield is destroyed by the blast. The leader retreats, but there are still hundreds of enemy units to contend with. It doesn't look good.

But then another group of Federation forces from the Hiryuu arrive, the group we saw earlier engaged in practice led by Leona. So, they manage to escape.

However, things overall do not look good for the Earth Federation. Several of their important bases have been conquered by these new invaders, led by an annoying youth named Wendolo. They have achieved the first part of their plan, and now plan to move onto the next, which involves conquering the rest of the planet, starting with the Tesla Reich Institute.

In Summary:
The aliens, whatever their true identity is remains unknown for the moment, have swiftly taken out several important Federation installations including the Mao Industries base on the Moon. Fortunately, they do not achieve their main objective there, which was to capture the Huckebein unit. However, things look rather grim overall for the Earth as these aliens seem to have advanced units that are greatly overpowered compared to the normal weaponry of the Federation. It seems that only the more advanced and experimental personal troopers that the Federation is only testing now may have any chance at defeating these aliens. As if things were not complicated enough, now yet another group enters the fray.
