Superbad's Jonah Hill in TRANSFORMERS 2?

There was rumors a few weeks back about a college roommate for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) in Transformers 2 and even if Entertainment Weekly isn't flat out saying it in the latest news, we feel it's a safe bet. The magazine reports that the Superbad star is in negotiations to co-star alongside Shia as comedic relief in the upcoming sequel of the franchise.

Pre-production is already underway on the Spielberg-produced and Bay-directed sequel with shooting set to begin in a few weeks.

Transformers 2 will hit theaters June 26, 2009.

That dude is funny, at least he was in SuperBad and Knocked Up. I can definitely see him as Sam's roommate. It will be kind of toned down since its PG though so I`m not sure.

That boring guy will only get in the way with a lot of dumb jokes that are supposed to be funny, but aren't!!! Just because a person is acting silly, force feeding us slap-stick buffoonery, or reciting lines that are supposed to be funny, doesn't make them funny. The dude is annoying and off putting!!! He actually got in the way in SuperBad!!!

I like him. I thought he was pretty funny in Forgetting Sarah Marshal.

Jonah is funny man, although I haven't gotten around to watching him in Strange Wilderness. Anyway, all the stuff I see him in, I like him and laugh at his parts. I guess the hacker from the first one won't be in it then? forgot his name,Anthony Anderson is it? Whatever.

Yeah, I think he is still in it, but he wasn`t Sam`s friend anyway. He was the hot intelligence girl`s friend.

I thought he was funny in SB, however how much comedy do we need in Transformers 2. I agree with metal somewhat. The film can have its funny moments without being so obvious.

Cool.. remember that Shia also has comedic background.. so it could be interesting to see their interaction. Maybe by knowing Jonah, Shia will get a shot at "Forgetting the SuperKnocked-up Virgin"
