I always wondered why footage of that scene was in the trailer but not in the movie.  I see why now.  I could see it not "meshing" with everything else.  Also, how did he squeeze his head in there so fast...

I'm hoping the All Star Superman is going to pack some punch.  To me, nothing has stacked up to the Crisis movie and I'm hoping something will.  I just dont' think it'll be this animate release.  Also, I could have sworn the trailer said Winter 2011...?

My pick for the Superman movie would be ANYONE that make it a kickass movie and not as dull as the last one that came out.  To me, he was flying around doing "chores" and average day to day stuff.  Plus I didn't like that whole thing with his kid.  I dread thinking where that was headed.  He needs a formidable opponent that will give him serious issues.  Not just have him flying around and heat blasting falling glass...

Bloody spam trolls.  Somebody ban bazzinga, please.  Every post he's done has been nothing but spam.

Zach Snyder all the way! Lets see Supes fight something awesome, like Parasite or Darkseid, or ANYTHING but LUTHOR!

All-Star looks bad ass too, I loved the COmic.

Rob, what's off about All Star Superman from the comics?  That seems like a pretty strait adaption of the source material to me.  They even used a similiar art style... at least with Lex Luthor's costume.  He was dying... battling a Sun Eater... that seems like it was in All Start Superman to me.  There even looked like there was a shot of Lois as Superwoman.

All I want is for Brandon Routh to get another crack at the title.

He was clearly the best part of Superman Returns ... and should be rewarded for his efforts.

All of those Directors being considered for Superman are of immense talent and I find it hard to believe a bad film could come from a pairing between Nolan and his choice.  In my opinion Zack Snyder is making the coolest films right now and I would love to see Superman become his masterpiece.  He is at the right time in his career.  Tony Scott has a legendary resume equal to that of his even more famous brother but I believe he has been on a bit of a decline in his choice of scripts over the last decade.  Either way I'm really looking forward to another superman film, though I did and still do love Brian Singer's film from 2006.

Normally, I would be a bit hesitant for giving Zack Snyder the helm for Superman, but... everything that has been missing from the Superman movies ZS is great at.  Color me intrigued, but I could live with any of the directors on the list.

MovieGuy, to answer some of your questions, here is what I remember.  In Kingdom Come, Superman is older and is starting to have gray hair, but doesn't have a beard or anything.  Can't think of any old Superman stories, but bet there are some out there somewhere.  There have been some other incarnations of Supes where he doesn't age (the less than spectacular DC OneMillion comes to mind).  So I guess that is left up for the writer of whatever current Superman story is going on.  Though if he can age from a boy to a man, I would think it only logical that he would eventually age from a man to an old man.  (As if anything about Superman is logical -- sigh, I feel like Sheldon and the gang from The Big Bang Theory.)  :)

Oh, and the Frank Miller Batman story/stories you are thinking of is The Dark Night Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Back (I'm still waiting on The Dark Knight: A New Hope).

Oops.  That should have been The Dark Knight Strikes Again, not Strikes Back.  Maybe a better title for the sequel would be The Dark Knight: A New Menace.
