Solid  episode. Kind of shakes up a lot of the lore. Why not just jump to a point in time where John was still alive and hunting? BTdubs you mean different not difference in paragraph 4. Fix it real quick before anybody else sees.

Maybe I saw a different episode but Henry didn't tell Sam and Dean to put the box into the place where the it would be safe, it was the sole survior of  Abaddon's attack in 1958, other than Henry and he only told Sam.  That was when Abaddon attacked, killed the old man and kidnapped Sam, not Henry. Great episode but the fact that Abaddon kidnapped Sam was important on how the show ended.

It's awesome to think that they came up with a demon even more powerful than the Leviathans. At least that's the impression I get from the Abaddon. A Knight of Hell sounds pretty badass to me. And I seriously hope they revisit the Men of Letters thing later. I wonder if that's part why Sam can do some of the stuff he does. And Dean would be the brawn to his brain in this situation. Would bring the series around full-circle nicely, even more so than what was presented in this episode, which was awesome in itself.

 I like the idea of it all, but some flub ups. If an angel is more or less equal to Lucifer (Michael, the archangel), than a knight of Hell can't be more powerful than a Leviathan, so Abaddon was a little confusing and a little sloppy in creation. 

Dean's pouty granddkid routine was poor. For someone who's time travelled, lived and tortured (and been tortured) in Hell, lived a year trapped in Purgatory, you would think he'd cut Henry slack. not a good character development, especially for how wholesome Henry acted. It would have been another thing if he had been a bigger, coarser jerk than John was, but he wasn't. I love Supernatural except for the character progression of Sam and Dean, the writers seem to always hit a reset button with their maturity that is lazy. they have been through so much, they should be beyond the petty whine-fests they seem to focus on to relate to younger audiences. How bout we grab onto other issues like an increasingly growing PTSD for all the crap they are going through, that would be interesting...

 I didn't think Abbadon was more powerful than leviathans...leviathans are ancient and primal...a demon, even a Knight of Hell, is still just a human soul that has been tortured and perverted.
