and International Spot #5

We are almost at a fever pitch for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim. Here is the Final Trailer or Trailer #4. I have also included the 5th International TV Spot below. Will you be there at midnight on the July 12th?

Synopsis: From acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro comes Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures'Pacific Rim.

When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity's resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind's last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

The film features Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Charlie Day, Rinko Kikuchi, Max Martini, Rob Kazinsky, Clifton Collins Jr., and Diego Klattenhoff.
The Pacific Rim opens July 12th, 2013.

Seriously can't wait to see this.

so how long before the first jeagerbomb reference in the movie?

They have a pretty cool interactive website for the movie.  It's different than the actual movie site.  You can go on there and do "pilot training" games and get info on some of the Jaegers and pilots and the tech.  It's pretty cool.  I probably spent over an hour on there yesterday playing the training simulations and checking out all the different goodies they have on there.  Can't remember the web address, but I'll try and find it.

It's a site for the fictional Pan Pacific Defense Corps.  Mania won't let me post the address or a link so just search for Pan Pacific Defense Corps and it's the first link that comes up.

This movie looks legit. Del Toro being the helm of this endeavor is the biggest reason why I have faith. Maybe After Mountains of Madness he could do the 5th and 6th Transformers. LOL I just hope it surprises me.. The acting in Pan's Labyrinth was amazing so I'm hoping that cues over to this. I never saw any of his films after, however. So I just hope this does well.. and it comes out on my bday.

I ve been very disapointed this summer as far as movies go, so far!!!  I hope this movie saves it!!!

I haven't kept up with it but does anyone know if this movie is still on its way to flop town?

Sanity 7/5/2013 4:23:29 PM

I dunno hanso, we know what to expect from GdT for the most part.  If this is a flop it'll be because it didn't have the right marketing.  I think it looks awesome.  My son and I will be watching next Saturday for sure!

Sanity, last I heard Grown Ups 2 was tracking better than Pacific Rim, this was about 2 weeks ago if I remember correctly.  That's why I ask if its still heading to be a flop.

Tevii 7/5/2013 11:43:07 PM

I've heard it's still tracking poorly... But I bet this will have amazing word of mouth and it will still end up being a hit
