Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Enterprises said Thursday that they have settled Marvel's lawsuits over the handling of its "Spider-Man" and "Men in Black" franchises. The surprise settlement was described only as amicable, and representatives on both sides privately expressed great relief at the successful conclusion of a lengthy settlement process. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
