Haters gonna hate, I guess. I'm all for another trip with Webb and Garfield. I thought the movie was great and that Webb made some great choices (Gwen instead of Mary Jane; mech shooters instead of organic ones; first person POV swinging). I'll be in line when this comes out, for sure!
This movie was the balls, man! I can't wait to own a copy of it on blu-ray. This was easily my favorite movie of the summer. I can't wait to see the extended/deleted scenes.
zilla: how did you get a copy so early from the release date?
karas: I would also put Hugo on that list. The 3D was simply stunning in that flick.
Seems like there are plenty of teams to root for to me:
The Avengers
The Expendibles
Guardians of the Globe are hitting theaters soon.
Hellboy 3 might get made soon.
The Hobbit
The Hunger Games
On TV you've got all kinds of teams to root for. My point is, nobody is really lamenting the fact that this film may never get made. It's my opinion that they should just let it rest. So many people have already stated why, so I won't bore anyone with my reasons, but I don't see any way this would turn out well.
Great flick. Great action, nice fight choreography, good looking CGI... add to that one of Pete Postlethwaite's last performances, and it's easy to see why this one is a winner.
I highly recommend it!
And don't forget Dexter, Mr. JBE.
reek: It hasn't been THAT long. Jeez. Only to a 3 year-old is 2 years a "long time."
I've got Green Berets in my fam. Gotta show the love for them.
This is a horrible idea. The film is totally fine now. Why can't production companies just leave cult classics alone? And you can't recast young Jennifer Connely. You just can't.
Why on Earth would Vera Farmiga want to do an also-ran tv show?!?! She's too good of an actress, and this show is probably going to be an utter failure. It stinks of studio execs grasping at the popularity of American Horror Story.
So this is news how? I'm not surprised in the least. I probably wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't in the next one too.

Vermithrax: Thanks! Yeah, it's from good ol' Fulci's finest! Hard to beat the wood shard slowly piercing an eye and zombi vs. shark scenes. A true classic! Good to see there are others out there with quality zombi film tastes!
