Sydney Poitier Chasing KNIGHT RIDER

Actress Sydney Poitier (Deathproof) has been cast on NBC's two-hour movie KNIGHT RIDER, reports the Hollywood Reporter. The two-hour backdoor movie will serve as a pilot for a possible remake of the TV series about a man and his talking car, K.I.T.T. She joins the already cast Justin Bruening, who has been cast as Mike Tracer, the son of Michael Knight. The trade reports that Poitier will play a feisty FBI agent who dislikes Mike.

At first I thought there was a typo, but then I remembered Sydney Poitier named his daughter Sydney Tamila Poitier. Sort of unconventional for a man to give his daughter his first name, but cool if you don't mind the inevitable confusion.

His daughter is Sydney Poitier.

First names are spelled different. Where's the confusion?

Yes this will be lame, just like the bionic woman.
The only Tv series im waiting to see is the Sarah Connor Chronicals. Other then that, you can't remake great as is 70's 80's tv shows.

Ryodin, the confusion because: a) there are typos on this site all the time; b) she's not nearly as famous as her dad; and c) she's usually credited with her middle name.

Every time I see "Backdoor pilot" or "Backdoor movie" all I can think of is Benicio Del Toro slipping Ellen Barkin the note in Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas with "Backdoor Baby?" The question mark was emphasized.
Other than that I got nothing. Does this make me a bad person?
