HBO's True Blood is going back in time. The Alan Ball vampire drama has enlisted Terminator 2 star Robert Patrick for a recurring guest role as Alcide's father Jackson Herveaux, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Patrick will first appear in a flashback episode that depicts Alcide (Joe Manganiello) and Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan) as teenagers in the 1980s. At the time, Jackson was said to be a "powerful, inspiring and heroic" guy, but in the present, he's given up on life.

Jackson, as a way to repay his father's debt to Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), also stands as the reason that Alcide first agreed to help Sookie (Anna Paquin) search for Bill (Stephen Moyer) during Season 3.
He's scheduled to make his debut in Episode 9, slated to air Aug. 5 and titled "Everybody Wants to Rule the World."

Stupid. It sounded like the actual T1000 was going to show up. In which case - sweet. That I would actually watch.

Yeah Brodee that's about the only way I'd tune in to this show again. Have the T1000 just kill every damn, vamp, changeling, werewolf and fairy in the show and whatever other dumb creatures exist here.

This show sucks.  My friend made me watch an episode of it last summer and I was actually laughing through the entire thing.  Absolutely ridiculous.  I thought it was supposed to be a comedy at first and then I realized it was trying to be serious.  Lame.

BunyonSnipe 6/15/2012 2:08:56 PM

Wise, let's face it they don't even rule their own planet, anymore!

BunyonSnipe 6/15/2012 2:12:25 PM

Still better than The Vampire Diaries, though to be honest skinning your own scrotum is better than The Vampire Diaries!

Wiseguy 6/15/2012 3:42:32 PM

This is just soft porn, let's call it what it is. And like any soft porn, it sucks :)
