After winning critical and commercial success with their 20-hour mini-series TAKEN on The Sci-Fi Channel, DreamWorks Television is developing a new project for the cable channel: a trilogy of interlocked mini-series. Called NINE LIVES, the ambitious new project is once again executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Les Bohen, with Bohen writing the entirety of NINE LIVES by himself.
Sci-Fi Channel and DreamWorks are releasing very little about the premise of the new mini-series except to call it "an epic story of love, death and beyond."
"A story as complex as NINE LIVES demands to be told in a unique way," commented Bonnie Hammer, the President of Sci-Fi Channel. "Our innovative scheduling will give viewers time to absorb what they've seen while looking forward to what's next."
The three mini-series is scheduled to be broadcast on the Channel sometime in 2005.
