...and the whole wide world just became a tiny bit more surreal.

This is insane. There can't be another Friday the 13th film unless it is either Freddy vs. Jason 2 or Freddy vs. Jason 2 comes first. You all saw how the first one ended, with Jason carrying Freddy's severed head and unbeknownst to him Krueger blinks. Since he was walking towards an island, and there are none of those near where the two were last seen, that suggests to me that Freddy is toying with Jason in the Dream World. Basically, Freddy is stuck inside Jason's head. Point being... making another Friday the 13th film now and NOT having Freddy involved would be way too confusing.

Well...continuity has never been a huge factor in the Friday series. There has been some...but not with every installment. Like how Jason went from being dissolved in Manhattan to being back at Crystal Lake for Jason Goes to Hell.
But either way, at the end of Freddy vs Jason, Jason's body (real world body anyways) was last seen sinking beneath Crystal Lake...so why wouldn't that work with a Tarantino sequel, or any other sequel for that matter? All it would take is some strangers to tresspass and he'd awaken from his dead sleep...leaving Freddy behind in the dream world and back to his usual killing. Why wouldn't it work?

Re-read what I said. Freddy isn't just stuck in the Dream World in general, he's stuck in Jason's. There just can't be a new film without Freddy.

I think I'm gonna puke. Tarantino is by far my favorite writer/director, but a Jason movie? I lost respect for the "Friday the 13th" series long ago, and I doubt attaching a high caliber director like QT could save it. And most importantly, if QT does decide to take on this flick, then it will only futher postpone his future works like Inglorious Bastards and The Vega Brothers. I don't know about you horror fans, but I'm definitely looking forward to a brand new QT flick of Pulp Fiction quality rather then another slice-em-up, point and plotless, Jason sequel.....

I'm a fan of both Tarantino and the Friday's saga, but I just don't see (and don't wanna see) the two of them together.
Everything that Tarantino touches becomes "cool" inmediately, I just don't think that Horror fans would like to see their movies be THAT popular all of the sudden. After the Kill Bill frenzy and the nowadays interest for martial arts movies, prepare for a landscape full of Jason t-shirts and masks...

All I have to say is two words... JASON X! Remember anyone?

Jason X flopped, BIG TIME. If Quentin Tarantino is even remotely thinking about doing a Friday the 13th film he'll be thinking of classic Jason Voorhees as opposed to the futuristic version.

There isn't a "Jason's dreamworld"...it's just dream world period. Freddy has always been able to bridge accross separate people's dreams as they are all a part of HIS world. Again, all that would need to happen is for Jason to reawaken to kill again. Just like always. What makes anyone think Freddy's "stuck" in Jason's head??? Besides, the commentary on the DVD said the ending is open to interpretation...so any director can take the story anyplace from here. It's all legit.

Anyways, I'm not convinced about any of this...only time will tell. Right now it's just a hot rumor.

What about the thing in Jason from Jason Goes to Hell that Buck Rogers Girlfriend I mean Ricky Shroeders step mom was attacked by? It is amazing that an actual writer would be writing this and not some half baked video game player who likes fight scenes. Obviously there is no care for continuity in The Friday films. But actually even Dracula has beem written and updated. Jason like freddy needs to be developed. Give them the LOTR treatment.
