One thing that the opening sequence of Casino Royale proved was that parkour jumping criminals are next to impossible to catch. Unless you're James Bond, that is. Well, the latter won't be present but the former is being showcased as a new movie concept. Channing Tatum, who's starring in G.I Joe: Rise of Cobra, will topline an untitled heist drama featuring criminal parkour jumpers. Richie Smyth will make his feature film directorial debut, based on a screenplay by Kevin Lund and T.J. Scott. The film will be produced by Temple Hill partners Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey.

Plot Concept: Based around the
free-jumping extreme sport Parkour, the drama revolves around a pair of jumpers who use their skills in heists.

I think it could be awesome. That scene in Casino Royale was amazing. Also in the movie District B-13 they use a lot of that and it is just so cool to watch. Those guys have some serious skills. Now, it has to be down right so it doesn't turn out lame, which COULD easily happen.

I see what you're sayin' Whiskey. Casino Royale was my 1st exposure parkour jumping and while that made for a kick-ass opening sequence I just don't think it can hold an audience's attention for an hour & 20 min. IMO

I usually like heist movies, but the moment you need to run, even parkour-like, it says a lot about the quality of the heist (and movie).

Will have to dig into my DVD collection. There is a movie made about this already.
