Sesshomaru in the Underworld     Episode 9

With Kikyo dead, Inyusha and gang are in their grieving period. Also, having lost his jewel shards, Koga decides to take his companions and leave the gang. As he no longer has the ability to be in the fight against Naraku, Koga left his vengeance of defeating Naraku to Inuyasha and gang to do it for him. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru pays a visit to his mother. His main purpose of his visit is to enquire about the Meido Zangetsuha skill of his Tenseiga and how he could make it stronger. Sesshomaru’s mother uses her Meido Zangetsuha necklace and summons a Hellhound to battle Sesshomaru. Instead of attacking Sesshomaru, the Hellhound takes Rin and Kohaku into hell, the netherworld. He follows suit after them and easily defeats the hellhound, with a sipe of the Tenseiga. However, with the defeat of the Hellhound, Rin did not awake and seems dead. Sesshomaru’s mother reveals to Jaken that the only waay of saving Rin is to defeat the Guardian of the Netherworld. She also opens a gate for Sesshomaru to come back to the real world; however, Sesshomaru turns her down and pursuits the Guardian who has taken Rin. After defeating the Guardian, Rin does not wake up, and is as good as dead. Leaving Sesshomaru truly sad and heart broken. His mother asks Jaken, if she has been saved by Tenseiga before? Jaken told her that Rin has, and she replies to him with horrid news that Tenseiga can only save life once. Showing compassion towards a lower life form, and valing another life, Tenseiga reacts to Sesshomaru’s sudden change in emotion. This has made Tenseiga stronger and now opens a bigger Meido Zangetsuha than before. With Rin’s death, Sesshomaru has finally learnt how to be compassionate towards others. Eeing her son being sad, Sesshomaru’s mother brings Rin back to life and warns Kohaku that he too cannot be saved by Tenseiga.Sesshomaru in the Underworld     Episode 9
