I understand your comments, but Angels and Demons had some issues as well. The parachuting part was not believable and Silas was much more interesting a character than the assassin. As for plot holes, I probably could find holes in a lot of works, but unless you deliberately look for them, you won't find them. Everyone has their level of believabiliy and mine wasn't stretched with either book, but I understand that may not be true for everyone.

Howard the Duck I haven't seen. I think Phantom Menace is a superb film and I think Superman Returns is a superb film. The original Superman was camp. This film was serious. I don't know what you mean by not faithful to the source material. The original Superman wasn't faithful to the source material, that's for sure.
