TEKKEN Fights Toward the Big Screen

Sony's Screen Gems and Crystal Sky are teaming up to turn the videogame TEKKEN into a $50 million feature film.

The videogame centers on two childhood friends who enter a worldwide martial arts tournament. As they progress, the pals move toward uncovering a secret that lies within the mysterious Tekken Corp.

MR. 3000's Charles Stone will direct. Stone is rewriting the script with Michael Colleary and Mike Werb.

Crystal Sky first made a deal to develop TEKKEN into a film property four years ago.
