 If they want to stick with realism and little super powers the person I would recommend would be Mockingbird. That just makes sense. She has no powers just combat skills.

 I'd love it if the character we see in the trailer, played by J. August Richards, turns out to be a young Luke Cage.

I agree with Wiseguy that Ms. Marvel and DumDum Dugan would be nice additions to the show.  Does anyone know if Neil McDonough is free, now that he got killed off of Justified?  I know my wife would be hugely thrilled if Carol Danvers showed up, as she is a devoted follower of the character in the comics, as well as very much wanting to see a super-powered female show up in the film/TV Marvel-verse.

Spider-Woman would be cool, but might create "confusion" (according to TV producers) for viewers who will simply think her a female Spider-Man.  Cuz, ya know, all us TV show viewers are just idiots who watch reality shows.  Likewise, I think that She-Hulk would cause conflict with the films.

But there are so many other great characters who could show up:  Flag-smasher, the Serpent Society, Andreas and Andrea von Strucker, Baron Zemo, and Master Man.  You could also have Scourge show up to start killing supervillains, and SHIELD has to investigate him.

A.I.M. showed up in Iron Man 3, so they've already introduced that group.  It'd be great if they took that framework and continued it on in the T.V. show.  That'd be another great tie-in between the films and T.V.

Agents of SHIELD has a great potential as a spin-off machine.  Cloak & Dagger, Heroes for Hire, and Jessica Jones would all make excellent series which wouldn't require large budgets.

Sorry man, that has been shut down my Marvel. He is not Cage.

 Hey so how does this whole Fox thing work with grabbing "The rights" to all these new characters?? Like how many did they buy?? did they really anticipate including a chick named Viper in one of their Foxed up Xmen movies and purchase her all those years ago?? Or are they buying characters as we speak??

Bring back Thomas Jane for an episode featuring the Punisher. Did the rights revert back to Marvel yet?

How 'bout Blade? The rights are definitely back with Marvel. Time to reintroduce the Day Walker.

 @Rizing

Yep, Punisher is back in house and I have been suggesting Tom Jane to come back after he made that little internet film last year called Dirty Laundry. If you haven't seen it, look it up. He did it for Comic Con last year. It's about 10 minutes long, basically Frank Castle taking out a street gang while doing his laundry. It's pretty badass, also features Ron Perlman. He seems to genuinely love the character.

Also Daredevil, Blade, and Ghost Rider are all back in house. I would love to see a darker shared universe where all of those characters meet up in the same film along with Doc Strange. A Midnight Sons film would be awesome.

If Carol Danvers is brought onto the show, please get Yvonne Strahovski in that role. She has the stature of a kickass female superhero, the experience in a genre type show, and has been connected to that role before via Joss Whedon.

Yes Rizing, the rights to The Punisher reverted back to Marvel several years ago.  The only rights which are not currently held by Marvel Studios are the X-Men and their associated characters, the Fantastic Four and their associated characters and Spider-Man with his cast of characters.

Marvel has been in contact with Wesley Snipes to possibly reprise his role as Blade in a new Marvel produced film which would be fine to me. Honestly he's as synonymous with the role as RDJ is with Iron Man. Snipes made Blade and it is only fitting they bring him back. I can't even think of an actor who could take up that role.
