The Review!
This review contains spoilers
Tenchi Forever (originally Tenchi Muyo in Love! 2) is definitely a non- Tenchi movie. There won't be that much fighting between Ayeka and Ryoko, no Ryo-oki transforming into a ship, no cute Sasami moments, very little clumsy Mihoshi moments, and most of all- no fighting sequences from Tenchi of any kind. No lighthawk sword (except for Yosho) or transformation of Juraian power is used by Tenchi. But...that's the good thing! (believe it or not)

It starts when Tenchi runs away from a usual Ayeka-Ryoko fight. He disappears for 6 months when a girl named Haruna takes him into her world and "brainwashes" him. Original eh?

The animation is the best of any Tenchi show or movie yet, and the sound/music was brilliant. Those moments where Ryoko spots Tenchi gets real dramatic. The main menu could have used some work. On the other hand, its simplicity is what makes it stand out. Too bad there were no behind the scene footage with the actors or anything. I mean, this is supposedly the last installment of Tenchi. But who knows?

Overall, get this movie if you like Tenchi. You'll feel very uncomfortable when you see him during the movie (his hair grows long and he has sex) but at the end, it kind of falls in place. It's kinda sweet when you see that last scene with Ryoko and Tenchi. =]
