What They SayThe Review! The quality of the animation is simply spectacular; every frame is in itself a masterpiece, highly detailed and with a wide array of colors and hues (plus it is mastered with THX). The sound is very good: it?s Dolby Digital, so I don?t think you will need anything better than that. The story itself is a bit more complex than in the other movies, but without losing that humorous touch that is so common with his characters. In my opinion, the main difference is in character design, since it changed slightly compared to how they were in previous movies. In general, the technical aspects are of a very high quality. Naturally, the story itself is what?s more important.
The story begins one afternoon with the mysterious disappearance of Tenchi. After 6 months of frantic searching, Ayeka, Ryoko? (well, basically everyone) find out that he was kidnapped by a beautiful but enigmatic woman. Haruna, who has some connection with Katsuhito, takes Tenchi to a "parallel" world where he lives happily by her side. Naturally, the problem consists in having to rescue Tenchi, who seems to have forgotten who his loved ones are. Well, the story is a lot more than just that, but it?s best to just watch the movie to find out more. I?ve read somewhere that this movie is considered by some to be the END of Tenchi Muyo! [About time ^_^], but I really don?t think so. The truth is, only time will tell.
