TERMINATOR 3 Dealings

A number of disparate elements for the coming TERMINATOR 3 movie project are said to be nearly jelling.
Contrary to previous reports that every major element was etched in stone, word has it that star Arnold Schwarzenegger and director Jonathan Mostow's individual contracts had, as yet, not been tied up. Still, both had been steadfastly finetuning the details over this weekend, and appear to be all but signed.
Meanwhile, as previously reported, the film is looking to most likely be the most expensive movie to ever get a production greenlight, with word being that the project has a budget in the $170M range. According to Variety, to defray those costs by whatever studio picks the film up, the video rights to the first two TERMINATOR films may be attached, which would allow the films to eventually be released by that studio in a three-film set.
In spite of the daunting production figure, the project is currently fielding distribution/co-financing offers, with a deal expected to happen by the end of the week.
