A video game based on the upcoming feature film TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES will be available for all major game consoles this fall. Designed by Black Ops Entertainment for Atari Games, the T3 game will also feature new footage especially filmed for the game by director Jonathan Mostow and starring the movie's lead actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Approximately 5 minutes of new footage has been filmed for the game, which is promised to provide new information about the origins of the Terminator. As well, scenes from the Warner Bros. film will also be added to the game. RISE OF THE MACHINES is the first time Schwarzenegger has licensed his appearance and voice in a console video game.

The game will mirror the movie's storyline for the most part but an option will allow players to play as the Terminator before it was reprogrammed by John Connor. This means you'll be playing as the bad guys, mowing down rebel forces trying to defeat Skynet in the dark future.

"Videogames have become an entertainment medium as big as the movies they are based on," said C-2 producers Andy Vajna and Mario Kassar in a statement released yesterday. "Now the Terminator has found the most exciting and authentic expression as a videogame of what made these movies a hit in theaters around the world and we are proud to be partnered with Atari in bringing TERMINATOR 3: RISE OF THE MACHINES into homes everywhere."
