5 Upcoming Remakes of 80s Movies (That Must Be Stopped) (Article) - 1/6/2009 11:13:03 AM

This just makes me sick!

Trust me, I am currently working on 2 sci-fi screenplays. One, being quite epic and containing elements from love stories, horror, comedy, ultra-action, martial arts, and of course explosions.

Also, currently writing a few treatments of Dr. Who(seriously dark stuff).

Look out Hollywood!

Soon...

very, soon...

Oh, and not to be a dink but, as far as what you had written... Look for Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) to steal scenes as the downstairs neighbor. There are two seasons out there for viewing fun! Actually Nick Frost plays Mike in Spaced, Tim's(Simon Pegg) best friend. The downstairs neighbor was actually a guy named Brian. Sorry.

I would say in my opinion, that a lot of the shows on the BBC are by far, more entertaining than the US fare. For those who are looking for good stuff, the Brit's have much to offer. Here are some other suggestions as well: Hyperdrive - Starring Nick Frost, as Commander Henderson of the Camden Loch. Great sci-fi spoof, and situational comedy. Hendersons' first officer pretty much steals the show. Fear, Stress & Anger - A lovely comedy of the baby-boomers and their daily coping with todays fast paced life. Starring Peter Davidson(for those not in the "know", he played the Fifth Doctor of the Doctor Who series. Nathan Barley - This is a gem. It revolves around a young, hip(boy, he tries), Young adult whom has an intresting and charged website. Along with his partner in crime Pango(pang-gu), he meets with a down and out writter and his attractive sister, whom is trying to get her film done. Great comedy, and look for The Mighty Booshs' Julian Barrett. The Mighty Boosh - There really is no way to desribe it, but it is some of the most creative, and hillarious stuff I have seen in a long time. The creators and stars, Julian Barrett, and Noel Felding are genius'. Primevil - This is an intresting one. Scientist discover these doors to the past, that dinosaurs have started to pass through in to our time. In defense, a small team comes together with the permission(and oversight) of the government to track the anomolies, and help keep past and present from colliding. Personal tip: Look for two attractive Brittish females, in great roles. Funland - Sick, sick, sick. One of the most dark, and disturbing things I have seen from the UK. Still, it is very well done, and has a mystery that will keep you guessing ubtill the end. NOT FOR CHILDREN!!!!!! Then of course there are the usual(Doctor Who, Life on Mars, Two Pints of Lager, and a Packet of Crisps, and Coupling) which are all worth a look. Later.

Hey, Metalwater!! We DO share the same views on The Joker. He should be engaging(don't get me wrong he is evil), he should have charisma, but not act so one dimensional that all we expect him to do is kill, or destroy. Batman and The Joker were both extremes, but similar at the same time. That's why they battled so.

Rice-A-Roni To Save JOURNEYMAN (Article) - 12/17/2007 2:57:50 PM

This is just the poor-man's American version of the BBC's Life on Mars.

#57 The Joker is a criminal MASTERMIND, not a murderous thug! That is pretty much across the board. He is an equal to Batman in intelligence, not dramatics.

I don't think anyone has actually read the comics!
