We've definitely talked about it these past few years over at our Forum community. A few members who live near each other have met a few times for drinks and get togethers..

We even talked about a massive get together but it would definitely require planning, money on everyone's parts, etc..

Basically, because everyone is spread across the nation..the globe..It's proven impossible to have a massive meet-up with our many regulars.

But I've always liked the idea of having a massive meetup at something like the Comic-Con in California one of these days.

I know I missed out on some parties by fellow news editors this past summer.

Where are you based out of? Daforce, Bill and quite a few others are in California so they would be in that area...

We have a lot of people from the Forum community over on the East coast as well and they've met a few times the past few years.

Great idea and we've tried...It's just that the logistics of it seems to be a nightmare for some.

One of the first things I thought of when I joined this community was the meeting up aspect of everyone...I always thought it would not only be fun, but really cool.

Last time I checked, there were already some people planning on meeting up at the next Comic-Con...I being one of them...

I am on the East Coast. Philly to be exact. Home of Rocky. I am planning on being at Comic Con in 2008 and have family and friends that live in California so I will be making an extened stay. It could be anything from being at a barto meeting at the Star Trek displey. Faces to Avitars would be nice...

I too will be at Comic Con next year. I think meeting there would be great. Working it out could be tricky, but I am motivated and it seems others are as well.

Tricky sure... But what about a bar nearby that we all meet at? Mania table for 12? The awkwardness at first is going to be priceless.

All these guys set up tables... what about a Mania table where we all check? Or something on the site that confirms where and when?

Or Mania T-shirts worn on a certain day that confirm we are all apart of the same site? So if we are out and about we can meet shake hands and say howdy ho!

If you stopped through Chicago, I may have to forcibly remove you from the bar. But I won't underestimate you, and I'll always be nice.

There is a guy who posts on the forums named McKrcken, he was talking about possibly putting up a Mania table for everyone to meet up at....Or something to that degree. I know for sure that he will be there next year, as well as I. So SOMETHING should try to be arranged.

I like the idea of the t-shirts. Maybe we could all meetup somewhere or it could be a Where's Woldo kind of search.....
