About Me:

The Movie Lord (aka Robert Trate) writes Mania's weekly DVD Shopping Bag and Toy Maniac Column all the while reviewing as many movies as possible.

“As for my reviews I think the worst part of whether to see a film or not is to check out the review and the reviewer ruins the movie by going into exact details. I post non-spoiler FILM reviews here at Mania. I might have The Movie Lord as my title (from the days when I was just a Maniac) but I also love comics, action figures, and going to conventions (though I do not dress up)".

Robert has been in front of the camera and behind it. He produced a comedy called Townies and has acted in films, skit comedies, plays and musicals. Robert is also the graduate of 5 video rental/retail stores. He attended Penn State University where he studied film production and film theory. When not glued to his computer or TV, Robert works for Neo-Pangea, a website and film Production Company.

He was even once quoted in saying, “I’d sold my soul for a Star Wars figure”.

If you ever find yourself in the Philadelphia area on the first Friday on any month visit Robert at the Colonial Theatre (home of The Blob). Robert hosts their First Friday Fright Night screenings of cult and horror classics.

hey, first i want to apologize in the lateness of this, i only just now realized you'd left the comment at my blog i finally found a technical format for comic books, it's in a .pdf file here: I've been studying it this last week and implementing it as i convert "the life and times of igor" into this format i agree we need some kind of program like Final Draft for these things (so I don't go crazy trying to use it), but I've never actually written any script on Final Draft, just stuck with microsoft word all these years and it served me well the comic book pdf is only four pages, and is very similar to a mainstream Hollywood script, so if you know that then you're 85% of the way there

yeah, the formatting is annoying on word, but i've been doing it for YEARS now so it really doesn't bother me anymore years ago I did look for Final Draft or some other program, but since I'm in Arkansas, anything resembling it was nowhere to be found. best buy never even heard of it, so I adapted. but if indentions are a pain, imagine writing PAGE ONE and then PANEL 1, the scene, any dialogue, then PANEL 2, etc, but the real horror is typing PAGE ONE, PAGE TWO, PAGE THREE and so on cause I lose count and it just screws up my "flow," so to spek...writing is like playing jazz, and all that new formatting is like picking up a brick in the middle of the song and throwing it through a window

I may have to change my genre TV show to 'Battlestar'. I brain dumped the first three season razor this summer on DVD and thought the show was AMAZING.

Haven't watched 4 yet. Don't spoil it for me!

There must be some kind of way out of here...

Hi Rob, you asked me a while ago if I've ever seen any of Universal's classic horror films on the big screen.Strangely, It's something I'd never thought about until you asked me. I have not but I think it would be an amazing thing to see. Have you? I'd love to hear about it if you have.
