Saw III

Now the Saw movies are basically tests or games of the human spirit and endurance. Can someone bring themselves to do whatever needs to be done in so much time to save their life? The end result is supposed to help them find a new or better reason to live.
Saw III is an essential part to this new trilogy and it wraps things up nicely. Yes, it is necessary to see Saw and Saw II to understand what is going on. And yes, there will probably be a Saw IV. In Saw III however I found my self looking away from the screen and at times squirming in my seat because of what I was watching. I started to realize that this is the new horror movie. Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers have had there day. The new “monster” in horror movies is the every day man. A man with a purpose or perhaps a sick a twisted individual who is wondering to what lengths can the human body and mind be pushed too.
Movies like Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, and Scream started this trend with the every day man. The killer could be the guy who reads a lot of books, your therapist, or perhaps even your boyfriend. This trend in movie is catching on: Wolf Creek (2005), Hostel (2005), and Haute tension (2003).
