I still don't see the point in this. This probably deserves to be on lifetime channel or something.

Even if show ends up working, the ridiculous title alone undermines its credibility. Lifetime channel indeed.

I really don't see this being a Lifetime series. After T2, Sarah Connor had more in common with Buffy Summers or Sydney Bristow than anything on Lifetime. She had trained herself as a survivalist and a soldier. I think the concept itself has potential.

I really thought this project would suck. But this bit of casting news actually gives me some hope because this guy gives a very good performance on Heroes.

Gripe! Gripe! I too don't see the point of this. I don't expect this to last a second season but it may be a very strong and amazing first. I'll likely give it a chance.

I really hope that they can make a good show out of this premise. The Terminator universe is certainly rich enough in themes and ideas to serve as a good launchpad for a TV show, but if it is done badly it will just dishonor the movies in many people's eyes. I do not know what to expect - the track record for TV shows from movies is really inconsistent in quality. The Robocop TV show was not great, neither were the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th TV shows. Yet Stargate is a huge hit (I've got to look into that show someday) and so was Buffy. Yet, Buffy does not really count in that the TV show is far better and more popular than the movie it followed. Were there other movie to TV shows I missed?

There's actually quite a lot of movie-to-TV adaptations beyond the ones you mentioned. Some of the more successful (or at least well-known) include MASH The Odd Couple Highlander La Femme Nikita Alien Nation Planet of the Apes The Dead Zone Blade Tremors That's only including live-action series, there's actually been many more animated series based on movies. There's also been a lot of short-lived, long-forgotten ones as well.

Like "Ferris Bueller", "My Big Fat Greek Life", "Clueless" and others that are best not remembered!

If this show lasts several seasons I can predict that eventually the future war will be won by humanity because the machine army has depleated their ranks by sending a new Terminator back in time every week to kill John Conner. Also, didn't Kyle Reese suggest that time travel was incredibly difficult? I hope that there is only one Terminator sent back that can serve as a recurring antagonist. Hopefully the show will be Sarah and John constantly on the move trying to escape from it.

O yeah, thanks Snallygaster and lister. Man, there really have been a lot of movie to TV shows. And in a while there will also be the 2 Star Wars TV series.
