OK, so you've been reading a lot about the film version of 'The Losers' here in your daily Comics2Film. But maybe you haven't gotten around to reading Andy Diggle and Jock's comic, that the movie is based on.
We'd recommend picking up the trade paperback collections and take 'em in one-by-one. They're a great blend of action, heist-style intrigue and political commentary. But if you can't make the commitment for the full trade yet, you can still check out the first issue of the series at the DC Comics website. Just click the "Download Issue #1" link there for a PDF of the series opener.
MTV Splash Page exclusively reveals a new poster for 'Kick-Ass' that's debuting at the South By Southwest Film Festival this week. It's one of three that will debut during the festival, where the film is enjoying its World Premiere.
The posters are only available during signings at the SXSW festival.
If you're headed for Austin, make sure you get your tickets to see the film at the Paramount Theater on Friday, March 12th at 7:30pm. Then check out the panel discussion on March 13 at 11:00am. And make use of the 'Kick-Ass' passenger SUV while in town any time between 6pm and midnight all week. Not only will Kick-Ass SUV passengers get hooked up with free Kick-Ass gear, but they’ll also have the chance to make a video en-route that could be featured on the official Kick-Ass websites.
The Comics Continuum has a new gallery of images from the "Escape" episode of 'Smallville', airing Friday, April 2. The segment features Odessa Rae as Maggie McDougal, aka the Silver Banshee. We gotta admit, she looks much as she does in the comics.
The episode was written Genevieve Sparling and directed by Kevin Fair.

What are some of the interesting details? Well these could be considered SPOILERS so we're posting them in white type to protect the spoiler-averse. Swipe 'em with the mouse to reveal the secrets...
Marvel crossover reference:
According to the LR, Stellan Skarsgard's Professor Ford character makes mention of a brilliant scientist who is an expert in Gamma radiation. "Somehow S.H.I.E.L.D. made him disappear," the professor says. Obviously a reference to The Hulk and a S.H.I.E.L.D. cover up would have to place after the 2008 movie.
Thor and The Avengers:
LR reveals an end credits scene in which Thor encounters S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg who first played the character in 'Iron Man'). Thor affirms that "his kingdom of Asgard and S.H.I.E.L.D are on the same side" and pledges to be there when they need him. It has already been confirmed that Coulson makes an appearance in the movie.
The Costume and Hammer:
Directly quoting the insider: "Surprisingly, the costume looks amazing. We could tell early on from the production sketches of costumes and sets that this was going to be something good. It’s just beautiful and the designers really took it to heart. If you look at some of the more recent Thor comics that are out now, the tone and the costuming is that."
Latino Review's sources also lend their opinion of Kenneth Branagh and Chris Hemsworth and the work they've done on the movie so click through for the complete article.

If you're a 'Smallville' fan, you might be as bored as Ollie and Clark look in this promo was we wait around for the show to return in April.
Just for the fun of it: LA-based "Video turntablist" Mike Relm is known for taking cool video clips and remixing them for his live shows as well as the internet. This week he turns his video blender to the 'Iron Man 2' trailer for a funky new look. Enjoy!
