Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake are circling Warner Bros.' upcoming live-action/CG hybrid adaptation of Yogi Bear. HR reports the three actors are in negotiations to topline the film being directed by Eric Brevig based on script by Brad Copeland and Joshua Sternin. Donald De Line and Karen Rosenfelt will produce, with Warner Bros. Pictures hoping to get "Yogi" under way in New Zealand sometime in December.

Faris will play a nature documentarian who follows the antics of a bear in fictional Jellystone Park. Aykroyd will voice Yogi, and Timberlake could end up lending his pipes for Yogi's constant companion, Boo Boo.

Dan Aykroyd why dont you just worry about Ghostbusters 3.

Anna Farris is hot and funny..so she can do what she wants..

Justin Timberlake.....Have to say hes a good actor after seeing Alpha Dog, but what have you dont for us lately? Dont think doing Yogi Bear is going to grab anyone important's eyes, unless he is trying to schmooz with Aykroyd.

Aykroyd is bullet proof in Hollywood so Ok I get it. But both of the others make me wonder why they would take this? Garfield, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Cats & Dogs, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Scooby Doo, Casper, Stuart Little, and Charlotte's Web are all reasons I would think twice about this project. Not saying any of them were horrible (well maybe The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle) but they sure did not seem to help the career of anyone involved. Most of the big names in these films are all bulletproof but Farris and Timberlake aren’t quite there yet in my opinion.

I like the actors involved but why would they do something so stupid as to turn a seventies cartoon into a liveaction crappfilm. Haven't they learned their mistakes from Garfield.

I guess it comes down to the law of averages. In the movies Pilgram listed, I know for sure Alvin and The Chipmunks, Cats & Dogs, Scooby Doo, and Stuart Little were pretty big hits. So as an actor why not be a part of another possible successful franchise? If it happens to hit like Shrek, they will be in for big money for sequels.

Especially because voice-over work has got to be the Holy Grail for actors. Don't have to show up on set early. Don't have to dress, or sit in make-up, or twiddle your thumbs in your trailer for hours.  You record for a few hours in a studio, then maybe come back for a few pickups, then you sit back and collect your paycheck.  Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me!

Does anyone even care about yogi bear anymore?

This is going to epically lame.  That is my prediction.  I bet even my 10 year old daughter does not like this one in the slightest.
