FilmJerk continues to be a leader for news about the new STARGATE ATLANTIS spinoff series set to begin filming next month. The website has published character profiles of three previously unrevealed characters that will appear at least in the pilot episode of the new series, including spoiler information about one of the characters' fates.
Two of the new ATLANTIS characters have a military background, namely Lt. Aiden Ford and Colonel Marshall Sumner. The final new character is Dr. Benjamin Ingram, a scientist who is instrumental in allowing the Atlantis exploration mission to take place. Ingram and Ford are slated to become regular cast members of the series.
FilmJerk also reveals that one of the primary characters roles has been cast and that the name of the recurring alien character (once known as Mikala) has been changed to Teyla.
