"Battlestar Galactica" co-star Tahmoh Penikett, Fran Kranz ("Welcome to the Captain"), Australian Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj have joined Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse," says The Hollywood Reporter. The four join Eliza Dushku on the 20th Century Fox TV-produced drama which received a seven-episode order shortly before the strike.

Plot Concept: "Dollhouse" revolves around a group of young men and women, aka "Dolls," who are imprinted with different personalities for different assignments. They have no memories of their previous lives, until Echo (Dushku) begins to try to find out who she was. Penikett will play Paul Smith, an FBI field agent obsessed with the urban myth of Dollhouse and a twisted romantic foil for Echo. Kranz will play Topher Brink, a twentysomething genius programr responsible for imprinting the dolls. Lachman will play Sierra, a doll like Echo and her friend, who has every personality in the world but her own. Gjokaj will play Victor, also a doll and a friend of Echo's, who is childlike when he's inactive, and everything from Errol Flynn to young DeNiro when he's active.

That Tahmoh dude is all over the place. Smallville, BSG, and now Dollhouse. Does that mean he`s leaving BSG? I`ve seen that guy who plays Chief Tyrel all over the place too.

Seeing as BSG has already filmed half of it's last season and starts production on the other half in a few weeks, these guys are just setting up their next jobs...

Penikett's a fantastic actor, so seeing him working w/ Joss Whedon ought to be fun...

Sounds great. Love Pinikett. I really hope they don't pull another Drive moment and cancel before we really have time to get into it.

This concept sounds pretty cool. They had me at Whedon & Dushku. Penikett is a welcome addition.

This is such a great idea for a series. Infinite possiblities. Looking forward to it.

Oddly, I'm more than a little skeptical about this.

Largely because I cannot believe Whedon is willing to work with Fox AGAIN.

I'll watch it and hope that it rocks, but I'm wary for some undefinable reason.

I'll be on the couch on premiere night solely because of Whedon.

I find Eliza Dushku very annoying, and -- like Merin -- Fox being involved has me worried. Maybe it'll show on another network, with Fox just producing.

With Fox's track record being what it is I would be amazed if the show lasts beyond the initial order of seven episodes.

On the one hand, everything I hear about this (from the creative end) makes me think this is gonna be really cool. On the other hand...Fox and sci-fi/fantasy generally don't play well together. I'm hoping Terminator and Dollhouse will mark a change in that track record.
