Distant Horizon grabs worldwide rights to puppet chop-socky series THUNDER FORCE.

International film financier Distant Horizon has acquired the worldwide rights to Taiwan's extremely popular THUNDER FORCE TV series.

The series, which has been described by Distant Horizon prez Anant Singh as being a cross between CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON and THUNDERBIRDS, is a hugely popular series in Taiwan that uses tradional Taiwanese wooden hand puppetrs to tell its action story.

THUNDER FORCE is the creation of Taiwan's PiLi Intl. production company. PiLi has already produced 900 hours of THUNDER FORCE related programming.

A new incarnation of the sereies will be produced by Singh, John Hegeman and Brian Cox. Plans are to pitch the concept to Hollywood studios and networks this week.
