OMG  WOW. THAT TOLD ME JACK SHIT ABOUT THIS MOVIE. Where is James Franco, isn't he in everything these days?

Miner49er 12/18/2013 6:48:34 AM

Interesting. But I think I preferred the shooting locales around Lake Powell in the originals rather than what appears to be the west coast bush around Vancouver.

It told you it's been at least 8 years since the first. Tells you they appeared to have identified and found a cure of sorts for the virus if not at least prevention. And it tells you that at least some of the humans want to reclaim their place in the food chain.

What else do you want?

redvector 12/18/2013 7:30:04 AM

They may have found a cure or the virus may have simply ran it's course. But by that time the damage was done. In the original film human beings lost their mental capacity over time becoming little more than animals themselves. It's possible that the virus becomes part of the survivors DNA triggering this loss in each generation but having the opposite effect on apes, making them more intelligent.

Well Wise, I would like to understand a little more why the humans are having to fight back in the first place. I mean did the plague hit our population so hard we lost our infrastructure? Our military? We can send drones out right now with thermal sensor tech that would find a man 5 miles out. Curious how they will explain we go beaten by a bunch of apes. And if I know our government and world they would nuke the place first.

That is all, was wanting a little more meat to it understand why defeating a large contingent of apes was such a challenge. Now that we know the enemy it would figure we could confront them easily.

And also again, where is James Franco in all this? Why would he sit by and allow this to happen.

lazarus 12/18/2013 7:34:39 AM

I get that it is a movie, BTW. I suppose if apes weren't on the endangered species list it would be more plausible. :)

I am more concerned with dolphins taking over the world. PLANET OF THE FINS!!!!

Hey, this a teaser.

It's meant to tickle you under the chin or your naughty bits and make you say, "Huh? What's this? Oh this is the new POTA sequel. Wha...what are they talking about? Oh, the people are are talking to Caesar the monkey from the first movie. He looks mad. What's going on? Are they attacking!?! Aww, sh@T! What happen next!?!"

This is just a tease. They aren't and shouldn't explain everything here. It's just to give you notice and hopefully start to get excited to see it. And it worked for me.

That is all.

lazarus 12/18/2013 8:26:05 AM

Ceasar, I mean Monkeyfoot, I get it is a teaser. I am concerned that we are going to be overrun by either monekys, zombies, glittering vampires, or worse, Glee club members. Need to buy more ammo.

Probably a rental for me; never been a fan of Planet of the Apes.  Maybe I'll catch it in the theater if it generates some positive buzz.

Tevii 12/18/2013 8:38:12 AM

Lazarus -  Um... this is a teaser, you want all those answers, thats WHY you go to the movie. This is an excellent trailer. Sets the mood, makes you asks questions  (like you are) and motivates some people, such as myself, to go see the movie.
