Tim Allen said in a recent interview that both he and Tom Hanks would be returning to add their voices in the upcoming Pixar film, TOY STORY 3. Allen will once again voice Buzz Lightyear, while Hanks will provide the voice for Woody.

"It's going to be great," said Allen. "We have John Lasseter, the original director, and I believe Tom is on board."

Allen also went on to say that he has had a look at the script and feels this script is stronger than the previous film.

Disney's Chief Executive Robert Iger revealed in May that Disney had started production on the third film. Once Disney acquired Pixar, Pixar took over production of TOY STORY 3.

Tom Hanks apparently said he would only reprise the role if Pixar was in charge. They are; he's back.

I like that in part of the agreement of Pixar's acquisition by Disney, Disney was to cease and decist all work on Toy Story 3. Pixar's storyline for Toy Story 3 was also said to follow Jessie. That, of course, could change.

At any rate, they also said they'd only do sequels if the story was good enough. So I trust them and am happy.

Yes, I heard about the cancellation of Toy Story 3 awhile back. I'm glad they've decided to return to it. I've been anticipating this new installment for a long time. I'll miss Jim Varney as the Slinky Dog, but all in all, it will be a good movie. It's been well worth the wait.

I am glad they are going to do, I loved the first 2 toy story's. I am going to miss jim Varney also, it is not going to be the same.

THIS IS AWESOME NEWS!!!
I cannot wait
In a different note, i think it's quite sad to see Disney's decline over the last few years in animation. What was the last crapfest they brought us... chicken little.

"...the upcoming PIXAR film, TOY STORY 3."

So Disney contracted with Pixar to make this one? I was so worried Disney would try to do this one all by itself. Thank heavens they were smart enough not to do that. Since this is a Pixar movie, I have instant faith that it will be good. They have yet to make a movie that wasn't at least very good. Most were excellent.

The only bad thing they've done is open the door for crapfests like Shrek (moreso its sequel as the first was at least clever and original) to become so wildly popular.

#5 disney purchased Pixar - that was the only way they would be involved with this movie.

Shrek 1&2 were great kids movies (like Toy Story 1&2). I am sure my son will love Shrek 3 and if this movie is made in time (before he out grows them) he would like TS3

I think Pixar is a grat company for Disney, Chicken little was good, but it was not Toy Story Quality good. I thought A Bugs life did not have a lot to be desired, I thought Antz was a waste of time and I think the Bully is going to be a bomb. I thought Monsters Inc was one of their best movies. the Shrek movies are Great, i think they are better then the Toy Story movies. Robots was really fun to watch and I have not seen Cars yet, but that is one that I am looking forward too. But Pixar looks at Quality a lot, and I thank Steve Jobs for that.

As far as I understand, Pixar's John Lasseter has been put in charge of Disney's feature animation department. If this is so, then we can rejoice in the fact that upcoming animated films will restore the "magic" of Disney. Not that there wasn't talent there before, it just gives us a re-assurance of undefiled quality, story, and animation from the Mouse House (without the interference from the men in suits).

The rest of Disney studios will now focus their attention on live action franchises like "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Loved Toy Story, enjoyed Toy Story 2 and I am looking forward to 3.

Since it was me ntoned, I disliked Shrek and despised Shrek 2 with a passion. Puss in Boots was great otherwise it was a horrible film. In my ever so humble yet in your face opinion. ;)

My utter and complete HATE for Mike Meyers might have something to do with that (part one anyway, part 2 was just freaking lame), I don't know.
