Tim Roth Leading Sky One's Fantasy SKELLIG

Tim Roth will star in the title role of Sky One's drama Skellig, which will be released theatrically following its TV premiere next spring. The production will be directed by Annabel Jankel and based on David Almond's hit tyke novel. Roth will be co-starring with Kelly MacDonald, Bill Milner (Rambow) and John Simm ("Life on Mars"). Principal photography will begin in Cardiff, Wales, on Tuesday.
Plot Concept: Set in the North of England, the film recounts the story of a boy (Milner) who finds the mystical Skellig -- part owl, part angel -- living in the garage of his new home. MacDonald and Simm play the boy's parents.
