Tim Story, director of both Fantastic Four movies, said that he did take heed of fans' reactions from the first film for the sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. "Of course one of the biggest things that I heard and knew about was the fact that they wanted Ben Grimm's brow bigger and bigger," Story said during The Continuum's visit to the set in Vancouver. "We had it rather large at some point and found that the biggest problem I ran into was that you couldn't light his eyes. "Any time I lit a set, his eyes would be in shadow, and (Michael) Chiklis, who was so amazing at being this character, the last thing we wanted to do was hide his eyes from everybody. so we actually had to scale back the brow from what we were originally thinking we were gonna go."
