THE TIME MACHINE red carpet part 1
By: Sue SchneiderDate: Friday, March 22, 2002
The recently released THE TIME MACHINE is both an adaptation of the classic H.G. Wells novel and a remake of the 1960 MGM movie starring Rod Taylor as a scientist who journeys into the distant future to explore man's fate. This go-around drops actor Guy Pearce in the lead and pop singer Samantha Mumba as a resident of Earth from 800,000 years in the future.
The film, directed by H.G.'s great grandson Simon Wells, opened nationwide on March 8th, but not before Dreamworks held its premiere at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood on March 4th.
Seen walking down the "black" carpet were stars Pearce, Mumba, Orlando Jones, Sienna Guillory, Yancey Arias, Executive Producer Arnold Leibovit along with guest Brent Spiner and long-time girlfriend Loree McBride (who are expecting their first baby in July), Jeri Ryan, Partrick Stewart and Wendy Neuss, Steve Valentine, Eddie McLintock, Alan Young (who starred in the original), Ralph Moeller and many others.
