Cheerio's on the kitchen table? That's pure Americana! What's more heartwarming than a bowl of cereal set out for the illegal alien you've been harboring to work your farm? :-)

It's a shame we won't hear Williams' theme in MOS because it is so iconic and powerful.

DarkXid,nice reference to Larry Niven's 'Man Of Stel, woman of kleenex'.

Like 'Close Encounters','Superman''s product placement was done tastefully, though not always subtly, giving the films a sense of 'reality'.I always thought the scene in 'CE3K',where the UFO shines it's light on the 'Big Mac' billboard was funny.

HomestarRunner,I thought that nothing could rival Alexander Courage or Jerry Goldsmith with a 'Star Trek' theme, but Michael Giacchino did.I haven't heard the score for 'Man Of Steel'yet (waiting till I see the movie Saturday!),but there is the possibilty that Hans Zimmer could deliver, don't you think?.

I never knew Patrick Wayne was offered the role or that he was John Wayn's son.  I always thought he would of made a great Batman.  He certainly has an appropriate last name.

"John Haymes Newton starred as Superboy/Clark for the first season but the Salkinds were unhappy with his portrayal and he would be replaced by Gerard Christopher (pictured) for the second season."

Actually that is NOT Gerard Christopher pictured. That is John Haymes Newton in that picture.
